Preparing a course for online instruction requires a greater degree of initial preparation in comparison to classroom-based instruction, and class formats, such as lectures, need to be re-thought for online classes. Instructors new to NYU SCPS Online, who complete the NYU SCPS Faculty Development Workshop Program will have a good sense of the opportunities and challenges of the online teaching environment, and will make a strong start at preparing their courses for online instruction.

The Office of Distance Learning is here to support your continued development as an online educator. With this goal in mind, we offer a series of on-site workshops designed for returning faculty to build their skills beyond the introductory level.
